About Me

Mark_11.jpg

I'm a product manager and data scientist with a background in ancient history and politics. Since 2020, I have been the Data Coordinator at the FLAME project at Princeton University, which digitizes and visualizes coin finds from all over the world dated to 325-750 BCE. Over the last three years, I’ve been writing code for the project, project planning, managing teams of data producers (on several continents), and conceptualizing project tools and future directions for FLAME. I’ve also been overseeing UX improvement to FLAME’s Circulation Module, to make it more usable and accessible to a broader audience. We hope, and I believe, that through transparency and shared data, we can help to make the past more accessible, and thereby more understood.

I’m interested in feedback on any project you see that I’ve worked on. Please drop me a line at mpyzyk@princeton.edu
